1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the NanoCabs platform (website and mobile application), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Services

NanoCabs provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers for transportation services including standard rides (Nano), motorbike rides (Boda), premium rides (Comfort), large vehicle rides (XL), towing services (Tow), car hire, and private ambulance transport. NanoCabs is not a transportation provider; drivers are independent contractors.

3. Account registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • One person may hold only one rider account and one driver account.

4. Fares and payment

  • Fares are calculated based on distance, time, demand, and service type.
  • An estimated fare is shown before you confirm a ride. The final fare may differ if the route or duration changes.
  • Accepted payment methods include M-Pesa, debit/credit cards, and cash.
  • Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel after a driver has been dispatched.

5. Rider responsibilities

  • Treat drivers and their vehicles with respect.
  • Wear a seatbelt at all times during the ride.
  • Do not transport illegal or hazardous materials.
  • You are liable for any damage caused to the vehicle during your ride.

6. Driver responsibilities

  • Maintain a valid driving licence, PSV licence (where applicable), and insurance.
  • Keep your vehicle in safe and roadworthy condition.
  • Follow all Kenyan traffic laws and regulations.
  • Do not discriminate against riders based on destination, race, gender, or disability.

7. Limitation of liability

NanoCabs acts as an intermediary platform. We are not liable for the actions of drivers or riders, traffic incidents, delays, or loss of property during rides. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a safety risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Nairobi in accordance with the Kenyan Arbitration Act.
